Margaret Street Ministries

Administration - Communication Coordination Center.  Chairmen: Preston Silcox and Ron Kennedy

Benevolence - Serving those in need in our community through the  Benevolence Ministry from the blessings of God our Father.  Chairman: Jason Lasure
Buildings and Grounds - Maintain the facilities in a manner that is conducive to a comfortable worship environment; that proper maintenance is afforded so maximum equipment operation is achieved while keeping costs low and working hand-in-hand with the other ministries in order to progress God's work.  Chairman: Winston Burnham
Education – The Margaret Street Church of Christ education ministry exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ, by teaching the scriptures to all ages.  This is part of the mission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.”  (NKJV).  Chairmen:  Jim Pitts (Adults) and Joe Wilson (High School and Below)

Evangelism/Greeters –  This ministry will coordinate and work in conjunction with the other evangelism efforts of the congregation (such as Monday Night For The Master, Gospel Meetings, Vacation Bible School, etc.) to help spread the Gospel of Christ to the Milton community and beyond.  Also this ministry is committed to establishing a close, loving, and caring relationship between members of the congregation and visitors.  Chairmen: Preston Silcox

Visitation – The mission of this ministry is to minister to the members, visitors, sick, shut-ins, widows, and orphans of the Margaret Street Church of Christ.       Chairman: Mike Atchley

Finance – The Finance Ministry is a very vital, working ministry; without which there would be no financial accountability or financial means with which to carry on the program of work presented each year.

In order to insure proper accountability of the church’s funds, and to reduce the possibility of fraud, the persons responsible for the counting and depositing of the monies, will not record those transactions to the accounting records.  This separation of duties along with the rotation of the persons counting the monies will greatly reduce the temptation and opportunity for any one person to misappropriate the funds of the church without the knowledge of others involved.  Chairman:  Jeff Helms

Involvement - To ensure that all members of the congregation have the opportunity to use their talents in the Lord’s work.  Chairman:  Ron Fields

Fellowship  – To provide the members of the congregation with opportunities to fellowship with each other and introduce non-members in a casual way.  Chairman: Oscar Locklin

Missions – Our purpose is to imitate God and His love.  God loved us and sent His Son to redeem us from sin and death so that we could have a relationship with Him.  For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life (Jn 3:16 ASV).  Through Jesus Christ we have become children of God.  Because of His love for us, we are to love others and want them to have a relationship with God.  This should lead us to obey the words of Matthew 28:18-20:  And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.  Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world (ASV).  Chairman:  Ed Temple

Monday Night for The Master – An evangelistic outreach program geared to reach those with whom the church comes in contact.  Chairman:  Doug Lee

Golden Agers – To encourage and strengthen older Christians along with their families and friends to more fully realize and use their unique value and special place in the body of Christ.  Wholesome activities will be provided in order to edify all of those who are in this special group.  We purpose to form close bonds with all; to edify the church in love; to enhance the favorable influence of the church; and take as many to Heaven as we can.  Chairman:  Jim Pitts

Worship – Our purpose is to help provide a worship service conducive for praise, glory, and honor to our God in Heaven.  Chairman:  David English

Youth and Family – The Youth Ministry exists to provide activities and resources that are focused on sharing Christ with Teens and their families.  The purpose of this ministry is to assist parents in teaching what it is to have faith in their children and helping teens connect with Christ.  Chairman:  Greg Fulk

Lads to Leaders – The aim of Lads to Leaders is to help our children grow in all skill and knowledge to become leaders in the church-to challenge our children to develop the skills and confidence to obtain leadership status.  This ministry will provide activities, classes, and other appropriate recourses for our children to be successful leaders.  Chairman:  Greg Fulk
