Spiritual Education

OUR TOP PRIORITY: SPIRITUAL NOURISHMENT

At Margaret Street, we recognize that in today’s world, the home and family are constantly under attack. Therefore, we want to provide support, encouragement, and spiritual nourishment to all our families in order to help them withstand those destructive forces.

God said through the prophet Hosea, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) He was talking about the Scriptures – that which through, “His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3). This implies that learning God’s word must be a priority in our lives!

With that as our objective, we offer the following classes:

For our young children - "CRADLE ROLL"

Our church family is blessed to have many babies and small children among our number!
We offer Cradle Roll and Nursery classes for our youngest children up to Pre-K. The classrooms are located down the main hallway in Rooms 111 and 113.
For mothers who are nursing, or training toddlers, our Nursery is also available during worship services. A live feed of the auditorium is streamed to the room during worship, so you can attend to your child and still follow the service.

For grade school children ages 6-12 - "Kingdom Kids"

For our grade school children ages 6-12, we have a wonderful group that has its own classes and activities. Much emphasis is placed on basic Bible knowledge including "Memory Class." Some of their activities include special devotional times, field trips, and kid-specific events.

Middle School

We offer Sunday and Wednesday Bible classes and other activities for our middle school children.

Youth Group Programs

For our Junior and High School youth, we have Sunday and Wednesday Bible classes and other activities available through our vibrant, Youth Group Program. They have many devotional gatherings, special trips, camps, and youth activities or events throughout the year. In addition to our Youth Program, Margaret Street also has a long and successful history with the Lads to Leaders Program. We are now sending a second generation of young people to L2L conferences, who are participating in multiple events.

"20 Somethings" (Young Adults)

We are blessed to have several college age members and young adults in our congregation. This group likes to spend time together with monthly devotionals, going various places together, or having other special events. A Young Adults class is offered on Wednesday evenings in Room 302 from September to May.

Adults

For adults, we have several, regular Bible classes, frequent seminars and special meetings that cover various Biblical, doctrinal, and family-centered topics. There is an adult class in the Auditorium and Rooms 302 and 303 on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am. Wednesday Bible Study is at 6:30 in the Auditorium (with an additional class in the Fellowship Hall at times). Margaret Street also has many ministries for all ages of adults to encourage fellowship and spiritual nourishment.

Seniors

The "OWLS" (Older Wiser Lauder Saints), meet every Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:00 am to study the Bible and have meaningful discussions.
