Perhaps someone invited you to come visit us at the Margaret Street church of Christ. Or, maybe you found us on the Internet and are considering coming to visit. We understand that many people are a little apprehensive about visiting a new church.  We hope a few words of introduction about this warm, friendly, diverse, and growing congregation will help convince you to come and see for yourself.

The church of Christ that meets at Margaret Street is a unique place with a unique people (1 Peter 2:9). We are your neighbors, your friends, your family members, your fellow co-workers, and your customers. We are a people, young, old and in-between, who are trying to be the church Jesus said He would build (Matthew 16:18). To do this, we are following the example and pattern of those first century disciples we read about in the New Testament. We realize we are far from perfect, and we make mistakes more often than we should, but we don’t ask you to follow us, we ask you to join us as we strive to follow in the steps of Jesus and seek to “walk in the light” (1 John 1:7).

We are attempting to practice pre-denominational Christianity. God has revealed His will for mankind in the Bible, and we are striving to please God by going back to what He said and do Bible things in Bible ways and call Bible things by Bible names.  In all of our sermons, all our Bible class lessons, and all our special activities, we seek to “speak as the oracles of God” (1 Peter 4:11). Above all, we desire to exalt and glorify God in everything that we do: in our worship, our service, our individual lives, our families, and our community (Ephesians 3:20-21).

We have Bible classes for all ages on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Our worship services are very simple and uplifting as we strive to “worship Him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).

We hope you will come visit us! Just come and see!
