A Biblical Worship Service
Every first day of the week we come together to worship God.  In our worship, we simply try to go back to the Bible and follow the pattern and example of those first century Christians, by worshipping “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). Every Sunday, we sing together as a congregation, we pray together, we listen together to the Word of God being proclaimed, we give together as we have been prospered, and we observe the Lord’s Supper together.  We recognize that God is the object of our worship. Therefore, we seek to do and say only those things that will bring honor and glory to His name, for of such He is so worthy (Revelation 4:11).
A Family Oriented Community of Faith
At Margaret Street, we strive to emphasize family – both in our spiritual family of the congregation itself and in our physical families that make up the congregation. In today’s world, the home and family are constantly under attack. We want to provide support, encouragement, and spiritual nourishment to all of our families in order to help them withstand those destructive forces.
  • For our youth: We offer Sunday and Wednesday Bible classes and other activities through our Margaret Street Youth Program and Lads to Leaders Program. There are also frequent youth devotionals through our “S.N.A.C.” (Sunday Night After Church for Jr and Sr High) and “Stair Stackers” (Grade school) schedules. Our youth also attend various camps and area-wide gatherings throughout the year.
  • For our small children: We offer “Cradle Roll” and Nursery classes, as well as, other activities like our annual Fall Festival and Christmas Party.
  • For the adults: We have regular Sunday, Wednesday, and weekday Bible classes in multiple topics and groups, such as our “Golden Agers,” “20-Somethings,” Ladie’s Class, and many others. We also have frequent seminars and special meetings for various Biblical and family topics. We schedule many activities throughout the year such as retreats, devotionals, workshops, holiday gatherings, and special fellowship gatherings.
Family is important to us! Those who follow Jesus are called His “body” (Colossians 1:18) and the “family of God” (Ephesians 2:19). We are striving to be that loving, encouraging, and obedient family as described in the New Testament.
A Christ-Centered & Mission-Minded Church
Jesus told His disciples to, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Our desire is to do just as Jesus commanded and to present the gospel of Christ to the lost throughout our community and in other parts of the world. The purpose of the Lord’s church is not simply to serve itself but to follow the example of our Savior to “seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10).
We take that “Great Commission” very seriously and seek to fulfill it in every way that we can. So, in addition to the domestic and foreign evangelistic works that we support, we also send many of our young people and adults on mission trips and campaigns to various destinations throughout the United States and the world in order to fulfill the command of our Lord.
